“I’m very angry standing here. Come and see what the floodwaters have destroyed. The floodwaters have also made my brother sick. No one is willing to help.”
— An aggrieved woman said as she showed the items destroyed by the floodwaters and explained how her brother had fallen ill as a result.
A resident of Dzorwulu has shared a video explaining what he believes are the main causes of the persistent flooding in the area.
According to him, although the community has drainage systems, many of them have become clogged with plastic waste, silt, and sand because they have not been regularly desilted, significantly contributing to the flooding whenever it rains.
