The Plan of Salvation, outlined in the Bible and clarified in the Book of Mormon, reveals how all may come unto Christ and be perfected in Him. The purpose of the Book of Mormon is to complement the Bible and make this plan a set of steps we can all choose to follow.

P0. “If ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you” (Alma 32:27 / Mark 9:24).
P1. “Faith is hope for things which are not seen, the evidence of things not seen” (Alma 32:21 / Heb 11:1).
P2. “Procrastinate not the day of your repentance” (Alma 34:33 / Acts 3:19).
P3. “Follow the Son with full purpose of heart, being baptized by water” (2 Nephi 31:13 / Matt 3:13).
P4. “Receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands” (2 Nephi 31:18 / Acts 8:17).
P5. “Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ” (2 Nephi 31:20 / Matt 24:13).
But we cannot do all these things by our own strength. Grace is the divine help that makes repentance possible, gives power to covenants, and strengthens us to endure. It becomes sufficient when we come unto Christ, deny ourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all our might, mind, and strength (Moroni 10:32–33). When these conditions are met, grace does not merely pardon but changes the heart and lifts us toward holiness.
C1. By grace we are made spotless before God, cleansed and pure through the Atonement of Christ (Moroni 10:33 / Eph 5:27).
C2. Through sanctification we are transformed into His image, “become[ing] as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love” (Mosiah 3:19), fulfilling the divine purpose of God.

I acknowledge the apparent contradiction: Exodus 33:20 says no man can see God’s face and live, yet Genesis 32:30 and Exodus 33:11 report that Jacob and Moses did. This real tension is exactly why modern revelation is needed.

The Doctrine and Covenants brings clarity and compassion: > “It shall come to pass that every soul who forsaketh his sins and cometh unto me, and calleth on my name, and obeyeth my voice, and keepeth my commandments, shall see my face and know that I am.” Modern scripture inviting us to prepare our hearts so we *can* stand in God's presence.

Note: D&C's validity hinge's on Joseph Smiths First Vision in picture above. That is a question of faith but discoverable by reading the Book of Mormon along with much prayer and fasting.
