Game flow is pretty good honestly. The Hot Zone moving is actually what keeps the flow moving.
Points are scored by whichever team has more people in the Control Zone, the larger area that the hot zone moves around in. People in the hot zone count as double (e.g. 10 people in the hot zone adds 20 to the total number of people in the control zone instead of 10).
Teams can call the hot zone to their FOBs/Towers with different methods, which creates a ton of conflict no matter how you decide to play the game whether you're a builder at the FOB, a logi running fuel, an attack heli thinning out the zone or disrupting FOBs/Towers/Supply roads, or a gunfighter trying to keep control.
When all three teams are doing that well, the games are intense.
So far in the @WARDOGS playtests I've:
- Killed a guy with an artillery shell through a window from 1.5km
- Splattered a guy against a wall with a Logistics truck
- Sent bodies flying off towers with a barrage of Mortars
I can't get enough. BULKHEAD really has something special here. I haven't been this invested in an FPS in a very, very long time.
Nah you're good! Mortars are pretty straightforward. They need to be built within a FOB boundary with building supplies and there needs to be ammo supplies in the FOB in order to shoot. Sight piece has range mils and compass for bearing. Once you send a mortar the camera follows it in so you can visually adjust.
