Hi! I’m doing a virtual fundraiser selling delicious Double Good popcorn for 4 days from Oct 29, 5:00pm - Nov 2, 4:00pm. Get all the details and support here: https://t.co/7s7qB8LuYq
@tgirlfag Back when this place was still called Twitter, Kansas elected a Democrat governor. Coulter tweeted, “Kansas is dead to me.” Someone replied, “Did they drop a house on your sister again.”
@heymrsbond @MrZachG The evaluation model my school uses gives ratings based on the % of students “engaged” in the lesson, basically actively participating. I got an innovating on a lesson that is a basic intro lesson because every student was participating.
@heymrsbond When I was deciding on what to get my Master’s in, my superintendent at the time tried to get me to do Ed Leadership. She insisted that I might want to be a principal someday. No, ma’am, I will not.
@heymrsbond As a department with 2 brand new, emergency certified teachers in my department that had some struggles, I wasn’t given support to be able to support them. My planning period didn’t line up with their schedules. The only other option was providing me with coverage to observe them
@heymrsbond Something similar happened in Oklahoma. Oilman EW Marland and his first wife adopted her niece (Lydie 16) and nephew (George, 19) to share their wealth and help out their family. After his first wife died (10 years later) Marland annulled the adoption of Lydie and married her.
@heymrsbond I’m lucky enough to have class everyday (50 minutes, so it’s quick). What amazes me are the AP Chemistry teachers that are finished with new content with a month to go. Like, how effective was your instruction if you finished one of the toughest AP sciences with a month left?
@Erin_Christy My dad retired from Oklahoma Forestry Services a few years ago. He still talks to current staff. They said Goeller asked for additional resources, but Stitt denied those requests.
@charliebruin89 @heymrsbond The first death was after school on the Friday before Labor Day, so most students had started processing over the long weekend. The other was on a Monday after school, and some students found out at school. A couple of my students found out from me.
@educator4ever36 I’m curious to know how widespread required reading is no longer part of ELA classes is. At the risk of countering an anecdote with an anecdote, the high school I teach in only does class wide required reading in ELA classes.
@faithmrose @heymrsbond I haven’t made my brackets yet, but the kids that have had me before are excited. I was internally chuckling as some were debating the addax vs puma and weren’t considering the addax gets home habitat in the Sahara.
