While the results of the vote were disappointing, it doesn't take away from the fact that Dale Murphy belongs in the Hall of Fame. Thank you to the fans!

Most importantly, thank you to @DaleMurphy3 for being a Hall of Famer to all of us!

Until next time, #MurphyToTheHall

What a couple of months this has been! Many thanks to ‘Murphy To The Hall’ group and all those involved in the effort to get me over the line into the HOF. And thank you to all of you fans who mean so much to us. Nancy and I and our family couldn’t be more honored and grateful for all the support and kindness. It wasn’t the outcome we were hoping for but we’re good and we’ll be hoping for another chance in 3 years! 🙏👍🏼

Even though he didn’t make it, I’m grateful to all of my dad’s fans who connected and relived his career with me these past few months.

I was 4 when he retired so never saw him play. Thank you all for sharing your memories with me. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.

Until next time!

Here’s hoping at least Don Mattingly and Dale Murphy get into the Hall of Fame today. Both very deserving!

Braves legend Bob Horner joins me to recall his ascent directly to the big leagues straight from college and explain why he believes his old friend Dale Murphy deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

The Contemporary Baseball Era Committee votes TODAY on Dale Murphy's Hall of Fame destiny.

It's time for Cooperstown to make this right. Let's make some noise - use #MurphyToTheHall and show the committee that Murph belongs!

Dale Murphy's dominance gave way to a steep decline in his latter years and a career cut short.

The ability to write the ending he wanted was taken away by a devastating knee injury. It's never been widely discussed, but here is that story.

Dale belongs in the HOF. I will tell you this, in all your travels, you will never and I mean never find a person who has one negative word to say about this man. Pure class!

[Dale Murphy @DaleMurphy3]

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to my family and fans for their overwhelming support. Words truly cannot describe how incredible the past few months have been!

I am so grateful for all of your videos, stories, comments, thoughts and every other way you have supported me—not just now but through the years. Thank you. Thank you.

Sharing my case for Dale Murphy to be elected to the Hall of Fame. It's long overdue.

This is my story, one of a generation of TBS kids with their fingers crossed for Sunday.

If you're a #Braves fan, please read and share, if you would be so kind.

Man, it’s so awesome when your heroes as a kid are actually good humans! Earliest memory of being Braves a fan was wanting to be like #3. Thank you, @DaleMurphy3 #murphytothehall

Those of us advocating for @DaleMurphy3 to go to Cooperstown are doing this because there is no doubt in our mind he is so deserving.

Let's remember what the HOF says in what should determine who goes in from this committee:

"The Committee shall consider all candidates and voting shall be based upon the individual's record, ability, integrity, sportsmanship, character and contribution to the game."

Is there any doubt? We know what we saw when watching the games. But let's see if he qualifies...

1) The individual's record - The stats are there. Murphy compares well to every current Hall of Famer from this era and from other eras of baseball. Check.

2) Ability - This gets lost in the discussion. What is a five-tool player? A complete performer, an athlete who excels at (1) hitting for average, (2) hitting for power, (3) speed, (4) throwing -arm strength, (5) fielding ability.
Check, Check, Check, Check, Check. He excelled in every area.

3) Integrity - Check
4) Sportsmanship - Check
5) Character - Check
These categories require little discussion.

6) Contribution to the game - He was the face of baseball for an entire region of the country AND was popular all over the country due to WTBS. He continues to contribute to the game through his Foundation and spending times with his fans who love him for what he did to contribute to the game. Check.

I've been amazed by reading comments on different social media platforms from all his fans, most of whom say, "He should have already been in" and sharing stories of when they met Murph or why he means so much to them. We've had our media platforms to speak the loudest, but the quantity of what has been said adds so much to the quality of his candidacy in checking all of these boxes.

It's just time.
