Engineer Baba Hadi Usman, 70, is an indigene of Jekadafari Ward, Gombe LGA, Gombe State. He never attended formal school but memorized the Holy Qur’an at age 12.

A self-taught innovator who built radio stations, telephone handsets, radio transmitters, and even a Vespa-engine helicopter in the 1970s. Recently, he invented a generator that runs without fuel and a stove powered by water. Today at Gombe State University’s convocation, he will unveil more breakthroughs including a new security apparatus.

In recognition of his indigenous ingenuity and contributions to science, Gombe State University conferred on him a Doctor of Science, honoris causa, during its 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th combined convocation ceremony.

I am continuing experiments to connect the human brain with a machine using neurons

However I have realized that this work is not easy Nevertheless I have used an EEG sensor that captures brain signals, which will enable a person to turn on a light or a fan through thought
At the moment, this is an experiment I am conducting with a small microcontroller But I have the ambition to acquire bigger equipment so I can continue the experiments until I achieve success
