I thought there was a bench here 😭😭😭 I was looking forward to sitting and looking at this painting. 😭😭😭 I will sit on the other side of the wall and gather some strength to stand and stare. 🤞🏾💪🏾
Back at the @deyoungmuseum again for their Open exhibition. I have noticed since there is a lack of seating, people are sitting on the risers for the pieces of art. 😵
The other thing I also mentioned in my last tweet is that the @deyoungmuseum definitely needs more seating in each room. So many elders with canes and only four benches in the entire exhibit. Please do better next time!
But it’s not presented very well. I really really appreciate the subtitles but you can’t see them if you’re sitting in the back of the room. Also there’s only one place the sound is coming from and that’s also the back of the room where you can hear all the outside noise too.
I’m at the @legionofhonor this afternoon checking out their #Botticelli exhibition and it begins with a video overview of Bottocelli’s life and artistry. In this age, I find this to be the perfect way to ease audiences into the exhibition. It is a great introduction.
The video is also very well done. High production quality. I really like the overlay of the drawings over the paintings. Really gives a lot of great context.
I’ve visited two museums this weekend. The @asianartmuseum and the @deyoungmuseum and I have to say that neither of them have enough seating for those who are having trouble walking or standing. The Asian Art Museum at least had little chairs you could bring around the galleries.

I’m visiting the @deyoungmuseum & their Open exhibition featuring Bay Area artists . It is stunning & overwhelming. I want to look at every single piece. The experience is interesting because you scan a QR code at the beginning of the exhibit to learn more info about each piece.
I’m still surprised that after almost 30 years of riding @SFBART I overheard someone asking what station we had currently stopped in and no overhead announcement letting people know what station were at. Such a small change could make such a big difference. Is there a reason ?
