After 5 incredible years, last week I finished at @NGIreland. This was my last time walking through the galleries after hours, an absolute privilege to be alone with the stunning collection on my way home every day. I'm going to miss everyone esp the inspirational Education Team!
We have a lovely video to share today, featuring students from the three primary schools that took part in Your Gallery at School, our holistic outreach programme which brings the Gallery directly to schools, supported by @SMBCAVIATION.

What’s this?
THE NATIONAL GALLERY?
Our incredible Gaisce #LikeMinded group of young people have been preparing artworks over the last year. We absolutely cannot wait to see it, and celebrate them. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
If you feel in the mood for (virtually) visiting our Mondrian exhibition over the weekend, you have the option of streaming our Online Curator's Tour on demand, if you'd like. #NationalGalleryIRLAtHome#Mondrian

Your Gallery at School is an exciting new holistic outreach programme that will bring the National Gallery of Ireland directly to schools, and we are now inviting applications from primary schools.
This initiative is supported by @SMBCAVIATION.

Day 10 & Day 11 #Museum30 'Narrative' 'First'
Been facilitating an incredible group who are curating the first ever exhibition of Ireland's national art collection by young people, for young people. They've been having a lot of discussions about tearing down narratives ✊
Day 9 #Museum30 'Utensil'
Working from home has meant being able to cook a decent breakfast every morning. Today's was scrambled tofu and Spinach on toast ☺️
This uplifting video captures a special collaborative project that we were involved in to mark the centenary of the Oratory in Dun Laoghaire - watch back to see how the mural created by artist Mags Harnett and the Dominican Primary School came about! ❤️

Day 8 #Museum30 'Safety'
Safety feels so precarious at the moment. I've just signed up as an Ally of @our_MoH to support the grassroots, practical and creative work they do tackling homelessness and housing inequality.
Day 7 #Museum30 'Woodland'
Loved collaborating last year with @russborough & @NIForestSchool for Forest School Teacher CPD. Learning in nature is so important, fun and beneficial to mental wellbeing
Day 6 #Museum30 'Support'
Since I moved to Ireland the Education Team @NGIreland have been my absolute heroes. So welcoming, supportive and great craic! I miss sharing an office with them and seeing them every day!
Day 5 #Museum30 'Display'
My brilliant colleagues have been working for months on Something From There,a project created with people living or formerly living in Direct Provision, exploring the idea of home. This powerful display will open soon @NGIreland

Day 4 #Museum30 'Button'
I had the best time working @PHMMcr and LOVED their badge collection. All these badges are from the collection of one person and show all the causes that she was passionate about: Gay rights, anti war, anti fascism & women's rights ✊
Day 3 #Museum30 'Scribble'
May '19 @NGIreland. Brilliant event created by TY work experience students. They came up with the idea & flawlessly delivered the event. I had to source the giant sheet of perspex. Didn't measure up to see if it could get in the building. Got very lucky!
Whilst that is clearly a little self-indulgent, I have worked @NGIreland for nearly three years and apparently have taken more photos of post it's than the Gallery itself! And now it's outside my 5km radius so I can't correct that 😭 #Museum30
Day 1 #Museum30 'Museum'
One of the main reasons I work in museums is to try to make a difference in people's lives, no matter how small. I manage the education programme for teachers, schools & youth @NGIreland and it always makes my day to get feedback from young people.
