Conductor of @oxfordpromusica, @MKChorale and others, & conducting tutor for @singforpleasure & @abcdtweets. I smile a lot. Posts my own views. He/him.
Me for @TheCriticMag. "We must find the courage to suppress our embarrassment, our nervousness about being labelled “snobs”, and explain why classical music has value, is worth bothering with, and is something anyone can enjoy". https://t.co/60qmkQGVGq
@MKChorale in rehearsal with the Orchestra for tonight’s concert in Stony Stratford which features epic music by Vaughan Williams and Haydn - all under the masterful direction of @musicalmark

Really looking forward to this. Suitable for absolute beginners AND conductors with experience but little/no training who want to know why we as conductors do what we do.

@AlexAitken91 I think this is a result of Birmingham City Council being bankrupt, so they have zero money after essential servs like social care, bins, streetlights, etc. Or have I got that wrong? Someone please enlighten me.
@tedneyy I have to stand nearly *every time* I get a train (off peak) from Banbury to Oxford (& back). There just aren’t enough carriages to satisfy demand and no incentives to invest in new rolling stock.
Our next concert is the Oxford premier of Requiem @_kerensabriggs with @Imo_russell@Thiede and @musicalmark Duruflé’s exquisite Motets share a liturgical chant with the Requiem and a stunning Tallis Gaude rounds off our not-to-be-missed programme. All welcome. £5 for students.
@GWRHelp I can’t seem to use Apple Pay since the app was ‘upgraded’ last week. Has the functionality been removed? And will it return? The card input screen is much less accessible…
