These young people walking out of their cells today articulated the love billions feel for the people of Gaza with their hands.
They are not walking out from behind the wall. They are walking out from cracks in the wall which they made with their own hands.
They were sustained by thoughts, dreams and prayers for Palestine and songs of pride sung to them through the bars of their windows.
Because for over 500 days inside the iron belly, not once did they stop beating the walls which confined them. They broke through the walls which were meant to break them.
In a time when the best of humanity was being killed by the worst of humanity and being watched by the rest of humanity, they refused to watch.
But, rather than looking away, they stepped into the images they saw on their phones as an act of love.
They are accused of the greatest compliment a person could be paid in genocidal times. They are accused of standing between the bombs and the people under them.
And rather than incarceration isolating them from the world, it brought them closer to Gaza and firmly established their presence inside the chest of humanity.
Their story will be told for generations to come as a testimony to the beauty of the human spirit. We are one body, but you are the heartbeat.
Bless your beautiful hands.

A monumental victory for Palestine activists protesting against the government's complicity in genocide.
In the face of inhumanity, they stood on the right side of history.
Let this be a reminder of the importance of jury trials in protecting the civil liberties of us all.
There are other Palestine prisoners still on remand. They should be granted immediate bail, now.
Not a single conviction has been delivered for the first 6 of the Filton 24 who were accused of shutting down Israel's largest arms firm Elbit Systems in Bristol.
After over 500 days in jail.
They stood up for Gaza, and won.

A rare atmospheric phenomenon — parhelion: the light of the real Moon refracted in the ice crystals of the frosty air, creating the illusion of three additional lunar disks.
Cuba is a Socialist country and one of the poorest in the world suffering under a 60+ year economic blockade by the richest country in the world.
Guess which one has better healthcare, life expectancy, literacy, lower infant mortality and every type of crime.
It ain't the USA.
One of these people has spent two years murdering innocent children in #Gaza.
The other has chronicled his war crimes and is seeking justice for his victims.
Guess which one gets standing ovations in the #US?
Guess which one is banned.

Some of the Palestine Action hunger strikers could be within days of death.
They have been found guilty of no crime. They are being charged with crimes that involved no violence against people. Yet they are being held on remand for 18 months - way beyond the statutory norm.
🔥BREAKING!
What Israeli forces are doing to 66 yo Marwan Barghouti (a symbol of unity) -accounts speak of torture, sever beating, broken ribs and teeth- reveals a depraved mindset and system, brutalising defenseless individuals as a way to break the spirit of an entire people.
Six political prisoners who targeted factories arming Israel’s genocide are weeks into a hunger strike. But in contrast to the IRA’s 1980s hunger strike, this one is being blanked by the media.

As the weather gets colder, it's important to remember that there are over 20,000 vacant domestic properties here.
These homes could be put to use. Instead Stormont does the bidding of developers + speculators and leaves them be.

🚨BREAKING: A judge has REJECTED a legal bid to remove a Palestinian flag that has been erected on Belfast City Hall.
🚨The flag was raised after midnight on Tuesday after councillors voted for the move during a meeting on Monday evening.
🚨The decision prompted a legal challenge, with judge Mr Justice Michael Humphreys hearing arguments in Belfast High Court today.
📻Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 will have more on-air.
Despite the best efforts of the DUP and TUV to delay democracy, the Palestinian flag went up at Belfast City Hall just after midnight.
Solidarity prevails over bigotry and sectarianism.
Belfast stands with Palestine and always will 🇵🇸
Remember the headlines when the Notre Dame was damaged in a fire? Everyone was lamenting and fundraising for a while.
Israel destroys a Palestinian Notre Dame once a week, but it barely registers at all over here, because our tax dollars are funding the arson.
