Lots of excitable misinformation being spread by the likes of @NetZeroWatch about this fire on the M5
A couple of facts/points to consider
1 - we have no idea how fire started, could have been with diesel-engined transporter
1/2
@JasonADeane@sainsburys Just clarify for me what the issue is, please:
- needing a pre-authorisation
- the fact it’s £60
- the time to refund
I used a Smart Charge unit and the £60 was refunded within minutes.
@DickWinchester@kathy__odonnell A Renault Clio? You mean you don’t drive a Toyota Mirai? Why is that, Dick? You’re always talking about how good these FCEVs are, Toyota are virtually giving them away, you live where there are more H2 stations per heads than anywhere in the country..
But you drive a Renault.
@DickWinchester@GordonPaton9 How’s that Hydrogen being produced, Dick? Because unless it’s green it’s a bad idea and contributing to this weather problem we’re having, and if it’s green it’ll need the grid you’re intent in railing against

@2012ARA1 @KatyDuke @tiff_tv At 80p/ kWh (which is on the high side for public charging) the £80 charging cost would equal 100 kWh of energy charged to the car. For a journey of 93 miles (double that for the return journey - 186 miles) that is an efficiency of 1.86 miles per kWh. Was she driving a truck?
@frenchy070@FullyChargedShw@Cleevely_Mobile Like you said: if. If. If.
If you drive a petrol Range Rover and only refill at the motorway services you’re going to pay way more than a mini at the local supermarket.
Dreadful reporting.
