🔵 BREAKING: Manchester City verdict, key points from the Premier League statement:

🔴 An independent commission found City guilty of serious financial rule breaches across nine seasons, from 2009/10 to 2017/18.

🟠 It found “sham” sponsorship, image rights and other arrangements inflated revenue and reduced costs by more than £900m.

🟡 The commission found City misstated their accounts and concealed the true state of their finances from auditors and regulators.

🟣 It concluded City would have breached Premier League and UEFA spending limits by a substantial amount if the deals had been reported accurately.

⚪ Three of four allegations over City’s failure to cooperate with the Premier League investigation were upheld.

🔴 No punishment has been decided yet. That will be dealt with at a separate hearing. City have until Friday 2 October to appeal the findings.
