Addressing at the Manicaland Provincial Traditional Cookout Competitions today, @MOTHI_ZIMBABWE Minister, Hon @BarbaraRwodzi explicitly explained how the nation will use its natural endowments to attain Vision 2030 and eventually meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Minister appreciated various initiatives by @ZimFirstLady, Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, which are contributing to tourism development in the country. Cultural festivals like the Traditional Cookout not only celebrate Zimbabwe's rich culinary heritage but also foster community engagement and pride. By promoting local traditions and cuisines, the nation strengthens its identity and enhances its appeal as a tourist destination.
Minister Rwodzi indicated that the 2025 Sanganani/Hlanganani/Kumbanayi will be held in Mutare in line with the Decentralisation and Devolution agenda. She also revealed that resonating with the Ministry's heritage-based strategy, the Ministry is advocating for eco-tourism, MICE tourism through building conferencing infrastructure, and industrial tourism by establishing a diamond factory in Manicaland Province. In addition, Air Zimbabwe will be flying to Mutare by September 2025.
