Can we stop making excuses for absent FATHERS! It is NOT normal to show up once every 5 months. It is NOT normal to never call, never check in, & never ask how your child is even doing. People treat their kids based on how they truly feel about them. If a father NEVER shows up, never calls, and never puts in effort, it's because he doesn't care. Period.

"He's just going through sumn" or "He doesn't have his life together." So what!? A lot of us mothers go through things too, but they don't turn their backs on their KIDS! Yet she STILL wakes up EVERY DAY, whether she's happy, sad, struggling, or exhausted, and she shows up regardless. That's what real parents do.
