parents are really trying. imagine just going about your day, then your child randomly calls asking for money you never planned to spend. whether it’s convenient or not, they still find a way to send it. It honestly isn’t easy at all.

but then again, the deeper realization is that every generation faces its own version of the same battles, but understanding those who came before us does not obligate us to repeat their conclusions!!!

I fear that one day I will understand my parents completely, & the reason I have this fear is because it will then mean that I will have travelled far enough through this life thing to get to the point where they finally surrendered to what generations before them also faced
