218 tunable couplers (connections between qubits) in a square-lattice layout.
Architecture enabling ~30 % more circuit complexity (compared to IBM’s previous generation) while maintaining low error-rates.
Initial support for up to ~5,000 two-qubit (entangling) gates in a circuit, with roadmap plans to scale to 7,500 by end of 2026, 10,000 by 2027, and up to 15,000 by 2028.
