Following the collapse of Said El Mala’s move to Brentford, negotiations are ongoing behind the scenes with other clubs, including some from the Premier League. A move to Borussia Dortmund is also a possibility. Said gets on very well with Nico Schlotterbeck – and rumour has it in the industry that BVB are known for paying more in signing fees and wages than in transfer fees.

In Cologne, there are fears that Said El Mala’s mother (who is also his agent) would prefer to have her sons close by. Dortmund is not far from Krefeld (home town). There, Said could play in the Champions League.
