At 8:42 this morning, a vehicle owner received an alert that their vehicle was moving. However, they were not the driver!

They immediately called 911 and were able to direct responding officers to a specific location not far from where the vehicle was originally stolen. After a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested two men. The vehicle will be returned to its owner, and the investigation is ongoing.

À 8h42 ce matin, le propriétaire d'un véhicule a reçu une alerte indiquant que son véhicule était en mouvement. Mais, il n'était pas le conducteur !

Il a immédiatement appelé le 911 et a pu diriger les policiers vers un lieu précis, non loin de l'endroit où le véhicule avait été volé. Après une brève poursuite à pied, les policiers ont arrêté les deux hommes. Le véhicule sera rendu à son propriétaire et l'enquête se poursuit.

On December 22nd overnight, a patrol officer charged a driver after he was caught traveling over 3x the posted speed limit in a 60 km/h zone. The vehicle was first observed travelling southbound on Merivale near Meadowlands Road and accelerated dangerously to speeds over 180 km/h. The 54 year old male driver was stopped and arrested at a red light at West Hunt Club.

Charges laid:
- Impaired operation
- Over 80 mg/100 ml of blood
- Stunt driving

Penalties issued:
- Vehicle impounded for 14 days
·- Double license suspension (90 days for impaired driving + suspension for stunt driving)

Reckless speeding and impaired driving put lives at risk. If you witness dangerous driving, report it immediately at 9-1-1. Let’s work together to keep our roads safe this holiday season!

Dans la matinée du 22 décembre, un agent patrouilleur inculpa un conducteur intercepté après avoir circulé au triple de la vitesse permise en zone de 60 km/h. Le véhicule fut d’abord repéré roulant en direction Sud sur Merivale près du chemin Meadowlands, puis il accéléra à des vitesses dangereuses dépassant les 180 km/h.
