@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya@OkoaUchumi_KE@TISAKenya I would recommend putting the mwananchi at the centre of fiscal decisions. Sustainable borrowing, transparent spending and meaningful public participation should guide how Kenya manages its debt—not just the ability to raise more revenue. #WanakopaTunalipa
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya@OkoaUchumi_KE@TISAKenya My first recommendation would be greater transparency on public debt and spending. Before asking citizens to carry more through taxes and higher costs, show us what has already been borrowed, where it went and what value it created. #WanakopaTunalipa
@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya@OkoaUchumi_KE@TISAKenya My first recommendation would be to reduce the pressure on ordinary citizens by prioritising spending, cutting waste, and improving accountability before introducing new taxes. Kenyans need relief and responsible use of public funds. #WanakopaTunalipa
Even in the previous Gen Z maandamanos, what the Gen Zs were fighting for was integrity and accountability of public funds and projects, the government have the mandate to publicly publish and make documents easily accessible to the citizens because they are the taxpayers

@Maskani254@kawive@nisisikenya@OkoaUchumi_KE@KeTreasury@county_forum To date we are paying loans that were taken years back, loans taken today will still be repaid years later by people who had no role in making the borrowing decision. Giving the information allows citizens to understand the debt burden being passed on to them.#WanakopaTunalipa
