So uh… for ✨no reason in particular✨ would this be a good time to mention that I’m a Japanese American author who wrote a historical fantasy book that takes place in Meiji era Japan?
#tfw you know you’re making tedious work for yourself later, but it’s still less work and headache and frustration than doing it another way… #AmWriting

Does asking for help ever get any easier? Because this parenting guilt and fear of imposing too much on others sure doesn’t seem to be going anywhere after 5.5 years of kids…
@NaomiKritzer Almost, Maine is popular around here but I’m in Maine. Don Zolidis is hugely prolific for one acts so a frequent choice. Someone is always doing Shakespeare. Schools that have a really good program might do Sarah Ruhl—Eurydice, Orlando, etc
@scistoryteller Omg this analogy makes my own experiences so much clearer ❤️ thank you for sharing! It’s apparently taken 2 kids and 18 years in a committed romantic relationship for new to understand red (vs like pinks or purples 🤷🏻♀️)
Just realizing I will have exactly one hour after getting my 5y/o home from school to make dinner, get my 2y/o to eat, and get into show makeup before running off to dress rehearsals or shows. All. Week. Long. #theatre#ActorLife
@scistoryteller Lol it’s ok to @ me 🤣 I don’t think I ever quite broke $30k even when I was our primary income. It would take a job I was extremely passionate about (so…writing and theatre?) to trade the entirety of my paycheck to miss out on time with my kids
I am so tired of living like it's the 1600s. Can I afford eggs at the market? Are my friends gonna die in the plague? Puritans coming for my sinful lifestyle. I want some modern problems. Modern Problems
