the first graders are learning about bar graphs so today I spent some time organizing jelly beans so that the students could make bar graphs for how many jelly beans are in their sandwhich bags. I think its cute, however why are there so few green jellybeans?🟢 #EDU310

My students are learning about compound words and it is very interesting to see them try and figure out how two words combine to make a new word with a completely different meaning. Ex: a rainbow is not a bow in the rain. 🌧🎀 🦶⚾️. 🐕🏠 🥤🎂 🚽📃 #EDU310

My students did a fun activity for Dr. Seuss's birthday 🎂 where they got to bring in books 📚, blankets,and flashlights 🔦. They set up forts around the classroom and read their books in their forts. Some students read together and other chose to read independently #EDU310

I did my observation on Thursday, and it was so worrisome😬. The science👨‍🔬🧪 experiments were def a learning curve so by group 3 I was all set but poor group one. All the kids had fun overall and they learned about light and rainbows so that's good. #EDU310

@MsGoglin I remember having a similar system at when I was in middle school. We would get Gilmore gold and you could buy from the school store or if you saved a whole bunch, you could use it at the last day of school party to stock up on chips and pop. 🍬🥤💰 #EDU310

My observation is coming up and my mentor has given me all creative liberties for the lesson, and suggested I could do a rainbow experiment with the students. I have no idea what experiment we should do. Excited to have all this creative freedom but also nervous 🌈🏳️‍🌈🌦️ #EDU310
