Men covering for each other is not 'bro code'. How socially dysfunctional does one have to be to think being surrounded by yes men and enablers is not super embarrassing? Good friends hold you accountable and challenge you to do better when necessary.
Strategies for coping are not the same as feeling. Coping is what you do to get to the other side, but it is not supposed to be how you live. There's no shame in having been stuck in coping mechanisms for decades. But we end the breath-holding by creating space to feel and heal.
Healing from relational cPTSD makes future heartbreaks easier. Not because you feel the pain less, but because you process it in real time more cleanly; less blame and shame, less numbing out, less chaos, better tools to release emotions, less emotional constipation for later 💩
I'm sick of opinions. As I see it; you know something, you've experienced something, or you prefer something. The rest is just nonsense, ignorance, entitlement or speculation.
You know what banter is called when it's not consensual?
Bullying. It's called bullying.
And before anyone whines about being sensitive, when my sister calls me c*** features, I've never felt more loved.
It's only banter if it's consensual. Trust is often essential for some.

Escaping an abusive narcissist was hard, but now you're stuck in a cycle with an avoidant partner who disappears and reappears. It’s exhausting, but change is possible. Heal your attachment wounds & learn to communicate without fear. Ready for the next step? #BreakTheCycle
Anger fiercely loves you. We're often conditioned to suppress or to be cut off from anger by people who want us to be controllable. But healthy anger in relationships is absolutely essential; it lets us know where our edges are. It is the path to healthy love (read the caption).
Chronic anxiety is a trauma response, aside from biochemical reasons. Anxiety inside relationships says, 'if only I can predict every hazard, I can avoid abandonment and pain'. But that's not anxiety's job; it's only meant to keep you alive in the short term (read the caption).
You're not bad at explaining. So many of my clients believe that their challenging relationships could be turned around, if only they could explain the issue with just the right combination of words. But that hasn't and won't work (read the caption).
I dare you.
You don't need me to tell you what your challenges are. But I dare you to do something different about it. Nothing changes if nothing changes. I dare you to try something different and actually ask for help. Have a no pressure chat with me, and I will help you. LIB.
What the fuck do you want, babe? Really. Truthfully. No holds barred. I want to know what you want. I don't work to fulfil some dream of creating things I like; I work to help you. I've learnt how to transform even the toughest relationships. Tell me. If you could have anything?
