When we wake up for tahajjud or to make supplications in the last third of the night, remember to supplicate this beautiful du'a. Rasulullah salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam said:

“Whoever wakes up in the night and says:
Laa ilaaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharikalah, lahul-mulk, walahul-hamd, wa huwa 'alaa kulli shay'in qadir.
Alhamdulillah, wa subhana Allah, wa laa ilaaha illa Allah, wa Allahu akbar, wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa billah.

(There is no Allah but Allah, alone without any partner. To Him belong the dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things.

Alhamdulillah, how Perfect is Allah, there is no Allah but Allah, and Allah is the greatest. And there is no change or might but by Allah.)

And then he says:

Allahummaghfirli. (O Allah, forgive me.)

Or [he] supplicates [to Allah], he will be responded to, and if he performs wudu' [and prays], his prayer will be accepted.”

May Allah accept our salaah and supplications, protect those who believe, and grant our fallen Jannatul-Firdaus without reckoning.
