Today’s language lesson focused on a read aloud of #IntersectionAllies, educating the grade 4/5’s about racial segregation in the past and ways that racism continues to be prevalent today. We looked at how WE can be a good ally and show up for those in our community! @Ms_Paradis

Joined the @TDSB_YoungWomen group at @orioleparkjps today with some of my grade 4/5s! We talked about food insecurity and the ways we can help our local community with this ongoing issue. Love seeing these empowered people think deeply about social justice concerns! @Ms_Paradis

Today in Grade 4/5 we deepened our discussion on mindfulness and the ways that we can acknowledge the difference between a mindFULL or mindful brain. When we encourage learners to be in the drivers seat of their emotions and feelings, they feel empowered ✨

Such an awesome first couple of days at my block 2 placement @orioleparkjps! Working on mindfulness and it’s importance with the Grade 4/5’s. When learners understand the tools their own mind can come up with, it can make great change 🧘🏻‍♀️
