As @DrWillieESmith1 reminded us that evening, two-year colleges and workforce training are no longer the alternative; they are the front line of Louisiana's economic future. That is the work BRCC does every day, and it is the work our fifty founding Chancellor's Circle members make possible.

Prestigious Opportunity: BRCC's Dr. Natasha Whitton, associate professor of English and humanities, has been invited to participate and teach in the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute!

BRCC faculty Dr. Mary Miller and Dr. Divina Miranda are leading a project called Summer Scientific Literacy Internship Experience that immerses select BRCC STEM students in scientific literacy skills while they learn about designing and executing research.

This 7-week experience provides hands-on research learning, career building skills and industry site visits at no cost to our students thanks to a National Science Foundation grant.

All repairs are now complete on the HVAC system in the Bienvenue Student Center. The center will be open as normal on Monday, June 8, and all employees should report to work in person. Student support services will be available in person on Monday, as well as virtually. Thank you for your patience while we made the necessary repairs.
