According to reports, a magnitude 4.4 earthquake on the Tibetan side triggered a massive ice avalanche, which then led to the flash flooding of the Bhotekoshi River in Nepal. Around 1,000 people are missing, and many have been killed.

🚨 BREAKING — NEPAL FLOOD DISASTER UPDATE 🇳🇵💔

The situation in Nepal is becoming even more devastating. Latest reports say hundreds have been killed and more than 1,000 people are still missing after a catastrophic flash flood and debris surge swept through communities along the Nepal–China border.

The disaster followed a glacial collapse in the Himalayas, sending a massive wall of water, mud, rocks and debris through valleys in Nepal’s Rasuwa region and into Tibet.

Entire communities, roads and bridges have been destroyed. Rescue teams, soldiers and helicopters are working around the clock, but damaged infrastructure, difficult terrain and disrupted communications are making the search extremely challenging.

Authorities are still working to establish the full scale of the disaster, and the numbers may change as rescue teams reach more affected areas.

The death toll from the catastrophic flash floods along the Nepal–China border has now risen to at least 162, with hundreds of people still missing. 💔

The disaster struck after a glacial collapse sent a massive surge of mud, rocks and water through the Himalayan valleys, devastating communities in Nepal’s Rasuwa region and across the border in Tibet’s Gyirong County.

Entire villages, roads, bridges, vehicles and critical infrastructure were swept away within minutes. The region is also a major route for pilgrims and trekkers travelling toward Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar, leaving hundreds of tourists and foreign nationals unaccounted for.

Rescue teams, helicopters, soldiers and emergency workers are continuing the search through the devastated areas, but damaged roads and disrupted communications are making the operation extremely difficult.

This is no longer just a flood — it is a massive humanitarian disaster unfolding across the Himalayas. 💔

“I’m doing fine” is starting to mean something very different these days.

You have a job.

You get paid every month.

You’re not starving.

You’re not sleeping on the streets.

From the outside, everything looks okay.

But your paycheck already has a job before it even reaches your account.

Rent takes its share.

Bills take theirs.

Groceries somehow cost twice what you expected.

Your phone needs replacing.

The car needs maintenance.

And then your bank account looks at you like:

“Good luck until payday.” 😭

You’re not exactly poor.

You’re just one unexpected expense away from feeling poor.

You’re making money.

You’re paying your bills.

You’re surviving.

But somehow, you never feel like you’re getting ahead.

Maybe the new definition of “doing okay” isn’t having money left over.

Maybe it’s simply making it to the next paycheck without something going wrong.

And honestly…

that’s a lot of people’s version of “financial stability” now.

Your social media apps have access to your microphone. Meta is also connected across WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. X (Twitter), TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube run on similar tracking and engagement models.
If you have an argument with your spouse or complain about them with your phone around, or on WhatsApp, you can be 100% sure that you're going to start seeing content on IG, X, or TikTok that is all about how awful your spouse is.
As a female, despite my best efforts to affect the algorithm, I keep seeing unhealthy, angry and pessimistic anti-man content & comments from females. It's starting to make me nauseous. I've had to settle for fantasy and sci-fi memes. The same is happening on the male side.
There are people profiting off all of this. The algorithm is designed to jumpstart our emotions into overdrive so we are primed for advertisements. The job description of a content creator is to latch onto trends and monetize them.
Every marriage has conflict. But these apps are becoming platforms that amplify all the usual & normative conflict in a relationship and blast it out of proportion.

So here's some advice:
1.Recognize when an app is feeding you outrage that's your cue to close it, not scroll further.

2.Don't vent about your spouse in front of your phone or on chat apps; talk to them directly, or to a trusted person offline.

3.Curate your feed actively mute, block, and unfollow accounts that push anger or division.

4.Follow content that builds you up knowledge, humor, faith, skills not content that tears others down.
Remember: real relationships are worked out face to face, not through what an algorithm shows you.

5.Choose to be a source of positivity for others instead of adding to the noise.
