The year Luka averaged 34/9/10 while leading DAL to 50 wins was when I realized he'd never win MVP. Voters had him 3rd (lol) bc they said he "didn't impact winning" then he went on to take his team further in the playoffs than any other candidate that season.
I don’t think people really understand what his first few albums mean.
And yes, I mean the first FOUR. Not just the first two or three.
Ne-Yo meant quality. A new album from him always meant evolution in vocal, pen, and more of his originality.
I know it’s the trend to play and make fun when it comes to his name these days which is fine - that’s the internet.
But in real life? Every 30 seconds a Ne-Yo record that he wrote or performed is on someone’s radio or AirPods.
Folks play with him and Keyshia Cole too much for me. Their consistency in terms of albums was crazy.
“Sexy Love” comes on right now and it’s immediately 2006 again.
Michelle Thomas’s last words to Malcolm-Jamal Warner were “elephant juice,” which looks like I love you when you mouth it. He was at her bedside when she died in 1998 at 30, and her mother called him the love of her life. Rest in peace to them both 🕊️
Rushed back early from tearing his Achilles to ruin the chemistry of the team that was actually rolling without him then sat out a game 7 to let JB die on his own. I’ll never respect him for that
