Due to tomorrow’s nationwide red weather warning, our Coffee Shop on Eustace St will be open for rough sleepers to take shelter from Storm Éowyn.
During the day, the Coffee Shop staff will be working with the Dublin Regional Homeless Executive (DRHE) to ensure people sleeping rough will have a safe place to stay the night. Coffee Shop opening hours are 10.30am to 6.30pm.
The DRHE’s ‘Extreme Weather Emergency Protocol’ will also come into action tomorrow (January 24th).
This includes:
🟡Increased capacity in existing emergency accommodation
🟡Increased support services staffing and / or hours of operation by the Outreach teams
🟡Enhanced day services
🟡Additional emergency placements/shelters in designated centre/s specifically targeted at people sleeping rough
🟡Other supports as required
🟡Additionally, the DRHE will extend their rough sleeper team services until 1am tonight
