Another painful reminder that voting rights are still under attack. The Supreme Court has allowed Alabama to use a congressional map for the 2026 elections that eliminates one of two majority Black districts, even though a lower court had found the map intentionally discriminated against Black voters.
We must be honest about what is happening. When Black voting power is weakened and fair representation is denied, democracy is weakened. We cannot afford complacency in this hour.

After two days at the hospital my mom is home and doing better. Sheโll be resting and taking it easy. Thank you for all the prayers, love, and support ๐๐
My mom is staying at the hospital another day after being diagnosed with AFib. Yesterday I called to ask for the staff to wear masks around her & to put this note outside her room. Iโm thankful they did, but we shouldnโt have to ask, & I wish they all wore N95s. Keep advocating.
My mom is staying overnight at the hospital because of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib). She is stable and they were able to get her heart rate back to normal. Please send prayers, love, and healing vibes ๐โค๏ธ
A music teacher in Tehran returned to his school, which was destroyed by an airstrike on March 23, and played a traditional Persian song in the middle of the rubble.
"This sound, maybe it will be the last sound of this school. And maybe even the last sound of me playing. Maybe I wonโt be here tomorrow either. But this sound will remain," he wrote on a message to ABC News along with the video.
"The infrastructure that belongs to the people of this land is not something that can be easily destroyed or destroyed," the message continues. "My motherโฆ Iranโฆ Take care of yourself whether we are here or not."
Reports that Iran and the US have agreed a two-week conditional ceasefire will be a welcome relief for families in the Middle East, who have suffered five weeks of bombing, displacement and terror.
However, a ceasefire is still urgently needed in Lebanon and the wider region, where Israeli military bombing has intensified to some of the worst levels since the conflict began.
A definitive ceasefire for the entire regional conflict, including #Lebanon, is the only way to truly protect childrenโs lives and futures and end the suffering.
This is a threat of genocide and merits removal from office. The Presidentโs mental faculties are collapsing and cannot be trusted.
To every individual in the Presidentโs chain of command: You have a duty to refuse illegal orders. That includes carrying out this threat.
While the world focuses on the destruction in Iran, we must not ignore what Israel is doing in Lebanon.
1,461 have been killed.
4,430 have been injured.
1.2 million have been displaced.
Israel now occupies 14% of Lebanon.
Enough is enough. No more US military aid to Israel.
TONIGHT IN TEL AVIV: Ben Gvirโs police violently broke up an anti-war demonstration, arresting Standing Together co-director Alon-Lee Green & activist Nadav Oren.
No matter how much they try to silence us, we refuse to stop protesting against Netanyahuโs cynical forever war!
The alarm could not be sounding any higher: this is a deeply racist, state-sanctioned murder law, passed by a convicted terrorist, that will allow the state of Israel to hang Palestinians at will.
People are developing Long Covid after their third, fourth, fifth, etc infection.
Itโs still circulating, still disabling and, in some cases still deadly.
Youโve gotta ask yourself what your โluckyโ number is going to be.
Before catching Covid in late October 2020, I could walk on my hands for over 20 seconds. Now, I have to limit how much I walk on my feet. Letโs dismantle the myth that healthy people canโt become chronically ill with Long Covid. Iโm among many who have. #LongCovidAwarenessDay
Today is #LongCovidAwarenessDay. It's a disgrace that it's been 6 years and we're no closer to a cure for #LongCOVID.
It's been 62 months and 10 days since I stepped foot in my classroom. I miss my students (my babies) ๐ข.
Today, I allow myself to grieve the old me.
