Serial killers are wild.
They can freely go out at night-for years and just murder people like it's a hobby.
Some people knit some people kill.
The amount of damage they wrought is staggering. Their birth is a domino effect of death.
Showcase is broadcasting #DevilInDisguise.
And I randomly came across That Scene. The 70s cops had the dirtiest penny drop as they're slowly realizing it's not just a body or two: it's an actual body count.
A real life cop stumbling onto a serial killer is overwhelming.
Statham has become a delightful genre.
If the Rock wasn't such a thick neck pansy this is what he should be doing. Instead the Rock has no cool kills, hardly contributed any dope lines to our culture and generally been a colossal failure by every metric including box office.
“You should have heard your brother squeal when I broke his fucking neck!”
Jason Statham's #Mutiny is just Die Hard on a boat! Fantastic pitch: I'm 100% IN. Team Ruckus Reporting for Duty. #TrialByTrailer
June 2001, The Fast and the Furious hit theatres and taught us that family, NOS and questionable physics can coexist in cinematic harmony.
2 Fast decades later, we’re still building out of speed, culture and whatever else we can bolt onto the chassis.

The Savant was supposed to premiere in September 2025 but was cowardly postponed following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
We saw this same type of Hollywood soft cowardice with The Order. Nut up and put it out. I grew up in the 80s stop being afraid of pop culture.
Yo!
@AppleTV is soft.
Back in April Variety reported that Jessica Chastain's Savant will stream in July. And here's Apple's numb-nuts July offerings and they still cowardly haven't scheduled the series.
That's soft. Unless they plan to surprise drop it which is also soft.
Quality is hard. Being consistent and good is even harder.
The issue with entertainment work-same issue as janky politics work-is there's no consequences for suck.
You can finally become a Scooby-Doo monster who really does get away with it. You'll never be unmasked.
I so appreciated Paget Brewster's "You Suck!" comments to a TV reporter.
We do. I work and write in the same space and there is a lot of suck. There's clickbait and bland Cosmo quiz red carpet questions: fools with large followings who've never watched the show or read the book.
Suck is the same frustrating issue with politics. You can lazily trash Trump & gain new followers for your podcast/blog. (Granted those new followers suck too...the audience is often so terrible, as well.)
I've no issue with Paget's "You Suck!"
It's not hate if it's accurate.
As 2026 New York City celebrates a long-overdue championship, this #SlidebackSunday#MSL post features moi in conversation with @JamelShabazz in his Long Island studio. 🗽
This 2019 moment offered a compelling "snapshot" of what NYC was like in the 70s and 80s.

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: S2 has risen on @CraveCanada. #SetTheVCR now.💥
And you know me: I’m always down for a little Mutant Mayhem. 😉
🐢Q: Which of the recent TMNT incarnations across TV & movies have you cowabunga-ed into lately?
I can do 1 more Austin Powers movie.
The franchise has lost the plot a bit: the last one was goofy and not in a good way.
By the way is there anybody coming up like Mike and Eddie who can pull off 3 or 4 roles in 1 movie?
Or is that talent just...gone?!
That new Verizon ad might not be the last we see of Austin Powers.
Asked by a fan on 'Trevor Noah’s World Cup Watch Party' whether there would be an 'Austin Powers 4,' Mike Myers responded simply, “yes”

@Robbie_J@hulu Ditto. I don't get it but I know people like it and have been waiting for a streaming date.
Their previous movie BlackBerry though I enjoyed that. Very Edge 102.1 soundtrack if you haven't seen that.
Anyways that was my Canadian PSA for the day.
Well, that's dumb, eh?
@Hulu is releasing #NirvannaTheBandTheShowTheMovie in July. You'd think one of the most popular Canadian movies would like...you know stream on Canada Day (July 1st!).
Easy marketing, right?
Nope. Hulu is dropping it on July 24th. Whatever. #SetTheVCR
Today!

#TokyoDrift is a flawed #FastAndFurious movie.
I spoke to @HertzBarry who wrote a Fast Book (Welcome to the Family) who said:
“Tokyo Drift was going to be the start of a hopeful off-brand franchise where they could just go to different locations & the cars would be the stars.”
