I think that's a mistaken way of looking at it. True Call of Duty fans know that every character in the Modern Warfare series—which gave players the golden era of FPS games—is important and valuable. What I'm trying to say here is that it's about showing respect to a character who is important to this series and honoring his legacy."
Actually, what you said is proof that Infinity Ward does its work with passion and professionalism. That's why I think they won't forget Soap and will continue to show him the respect he deserves. When we look at the MW4 promotional material, we can already see that something amazing is on the way.
Dear Mark,
Our Modern Warfare journey began in 2007 with John “Soap” MacTavish. He was the very first character we played. Please add a realistic and legendary Soap operator skin to Modern Warfare 4 as a tribute to his memory and his importance in the series. Not as a limited-time event like in MWII, but as a permanent addition that we can purchase if necessary.
Sincerely.

@RinoTheBouncer If I’m playing a story-driven game, I have to consume all of its content and finish it 100%. After all, the developers put in so much effort, didn’t they? 😂
The ending involving Soap in this game. It was the worst possible decision, especially when TF141 had finally come back together in a new-generation game. I’m not even going to talk about how soulless and simplistic the scene was compared to the old OG series. Soap was the first character we ever played in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. I don’t want to comment any further.
@RinoTheBouncer These two missions—their pacing, gameplay, level design, and sense of atmosphere—are something you don’t even find in normal sniper-themed games.
Actually, if they could officially solve the ability to play all games from PS1 through PS4 on the PS5 using a few software tools before the PS6 is released, it would be a major success for the PS5.
Sony is considering delaying the release of the PS6 from it's planned 2027-2028 launch to a later year due to the surge in RAM prices.
This is according to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming.
