The Odyssey takes are pissing me off, no completely changing what the main character is about to match up to modern moral sensibilities is not a super stroke of genius. Yes, the sack of Troy was a horrific tragedy. No, making Odysseus suddenly feel bad about it isn't good.

A lot of positively inspired artistic choices, great cinematography, score and the writing is actually good. However it misses core aspects of Odysseus as a character because of the message unique to the movie and that fundamentally makes it a terrible adaptation of the Odyssey
