If you’ve got a flight to catch in Lagos or Abuja, you’d better set out to the airport at least 1 hour than earlier intended. The new FAAN card is causing traffic. And these delays could last all week, if not more.

I love the idea of the FAAN card. Nigeria must set out to collect as much revenue digitally, to plug big leakages. I have found myself repeatedly reminding the folks at the toll point to give me my receipt.

Without the receipt, it’s like dashing them money. A lot of people are in a rush, they won’t remember to ask. They already got their access.

A digital payment like the FAAN card or regular card payment makes it harder to steal this revenue at source. Way to go but the usual stress that comes with change is already at play. Plan your travel accordingly.

I've lost money, lots of it.
Lost 4 major businesses; an art gallery, pure water factory. 2 yoghurt factories,
I had seven broken relationships.
I have been depressed with suicide tendencies twice. 1991 and 2014.
Two terminal diseases to deal with.
I had panic attacks episodes for over three years, 1991 and 2014.
Everything about me is late. Schooling late, good job late, marriage late, business break through late, started having children, late. Bought my first car late. Nobody would ever want to be associated with a failure like me.

What kept me going? Hope. Knowing that life is in phases. The help you need is within you. Only you can generate the energy and encouragement you need.
