Fundamentally disagree when the large majority of our moves came from our two 8’s stepping into the channels and driving. What we actually lack is consistent overlaps on BOTH sides with good quality crossing (mostly a LHS issue atm cos Spence is right footed).

@LilywhiteLab and what about the progressive pass stats then? the problem with the way you talk about positional specialists is that there are maybe 3 ITW per position that can do everything you want. Again, watch with your eyes, the difference between now and last season is immeasurable.

@LilywhiteLab but he isn’t? Porro was literally topping stats for crosses, shots and progressive passes last season with only an average of 3.3 being “long balls” this season. You cannot create a ball-winner in the aggregate. You can provide a platform for a team however.

@LilywhiteLab just a word on this; you place “De Jong” alongside Bentancur and Bergvall and you’ll still have all the same issues you had last year in midfield. Football is played on actual grass, not on WeScout.
