@N4Connect is looking for Black and Latinx young adults between 16-28 to share their experience with HIV healthcare. Help increase medicine utilization to your community. https://t.co/Mjg0fIueJp
Hi everyone! Just a friendly reminder that we're still recruiting for our study- currently at 199 enrolled 🎉 For now, we're shifting our focus to those taking a break from their HIV meds so please share this flyer with your friends, peers, and anyone who might be interested 🤗
#NBHAAD highlights the disproportionate rates at which the Black community has been affected by HIV. Today, we can learn from community leaders like Marsha P. Johnson who dedicated her life to advocating for better healthcare access for people living with HIV.
For some people living with HIV, stigma can negatively impact:
🏥💊seeking treatment & attending health appointments
💕relationships
🧠mental health & seeking support for it
This doesn't need to happen. Learn more about what we do to tackle this: https://t.co/d5wdzaGJs0
Your participation is confidential. Join the 150 young adults who have enrolled in the N4 Connect study so far and give back to the community by participating. Click the link below to schedule a quick call to verify your eligibility: https://t.co/t2e9pMY9g4
One of the biggest and least spoken about barriers to HIV PrEP care is actually provider hesitancy/refusal. We have been prescribing PrEP for >10 years and there are still many providers who state that patient’s don’t need it, that it promotes promiscuity, and spreads STIs
Hi everyone! Just dropping in to let you know that N4 Connect is still recruiting participants for our project. We are compensating up to $700 so please tell your friends, clients, anyone you know! Here is the link to sign up: https://t.co/SI0CEJaNuR
For us to achieve health equity and access, it is essential that we demand the advancement of HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and care globally. While great strides have been made in HIV/AIDS research, let's not stop encouraging progress and promoting awareness. #EndAIDS
We want to extend our deepest condolences to those impacted by the shooting in Colorado Springs.
Without a doubt, there has been an uprise in discrimination and hate crimes following the pandemic. We call on our leaders to do more than just bear witness to these tragedies.
It was after lunch when I realized I still needed to take my #HIV medication. If you forget, you can still take your HIV medication as long as it’s at least 12 hours before your next regular dose.
You can't engage your patients in sexual health and HIV prevention/treatment conversations if you can't talk about SEX.
You also can't talk about SEX with your patients if the only words you link with sexual behavior are "risky," "promiscuous," and "condoms."
Do better.
#DYK that only a small percentage of people in the US who would benefit from PrEP, are being prescribed it? PrEP is effective for people of ALL genders.
If you are interested in PrEP then @cancommunityhealth can help. For more information call 407-246-1946

I have had the BEST morning. Met with the @N4Connect team - learned so much about younger people living with HIV including those who recently immigrated. Then met with the @ncapnyu team to talk about what we are seeing re: COVID & to plan our next study. Lucky me @NMICnyc
