A group of Year 9 students visited the National Space Centre this week. They toured the centre, coded a 'Mars Rover' and visited Sir Patrick Moore's planetarium.

Year 8 students participated in the IET Faraday® Challenge Day on Thursday, 18th April. Students had the opportunity to become real-life engineers for a day by researching, designing, and building solutions to real engineering problems as part of the @IETeducation Challenge Day.
Year 7 student Aston will deliver a STEM lecture after school today for Year 7 and 8 students. He will talk about his journey to becoming a published author and his passion for astronomy.

Year 9 and Sixth Form STEM students participated in 'Operating Theatre Live' today, a hands-on anatomy experience charting patient treatment from incident to trauma surgery. Students were able to learn about different aspects of the medical profession.

Our Nucleus STEM lecture series has started with a fascinating talk from the RAF Pilot Alex Vaughn entitled, 'What's it like to be a fighter pilot?' Students enjoyed the lecture, and there was a queue to talk to Alex at the end. STEM lectures are open to all students. @northacad
