What an incredible experience I had yesterday! The event was hosted by @BarnwoodTrust I was privileged to join the event along side with member of @TheNelsonTrust The objective was to actively listen and share viewpoint relating to mental health in Gloucestershire.

Being the eldest daughter means your mother's trauma is yours, your siblings' trauma is yours, anything your family is going through becomes your prioritized issue and your plate is so full that you aren't left with any energy to cope up with your trauma. 1/3

The experience I had is unexplainable just in few tweets but I would in encourage all the professions to do come forward and join such amazing events hosting by @BarnwoodTrust and other organisations

One of the interesting aspect which really bought me on the edge of my chair was the the 'importantance of humanity' when providing mental health treatment and for those who are receiving the treatment.
It was a shame we didn't had enough time to explore indepth!

We managed to share alot with each other in short period of time. I was able to share the cultural differences when talking about mental health, we also spoke about mental health crisis, importance of friendship in mental health, mental health provision and much more.

I was able to interact and share my thoughts with professionals such as mental health nurse, support workers, individuals with lived experience, psychiatric, and many more. We were able to share our views and different experiences around Mental health.

So I was at my in laws on father's day weekend. We got cakes and stuff.

At the time of cutting, we sang "happy fathers day to you". And I joked "..AND TO ME"

My FIL quickly dropped what he was holding and looked my wife, she was all embarrassed and kept denying it 🤣🤣
