On 22 July 2026, H.E. Lieutenant General RATH Dararoth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Defence, led a delegation of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) to participate in the 4th Cambodia–United States Defense Policy Dialogue (DPD) in Washington, D.C., United States.

During the meeting, H.E. the Secretary of State was welcomed by Ms. Lori D. Abele, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for South and Southeast Asia, and her delegation at the Pentagon.

On this occasion, both sides held constructive discussions and exchanged views on further strengthening Cambodia–U.S. bilateral defense cooperation in several key areas, including joint military exercises, human resource development, professional military education and training, as well as other areas of mutual cooperation.

H.E. the Secretary of State also briefed the U.S. side on the latest developments regarding the Cambodia–Thailand border situation and expressed his sincere appreciation for the United States’ continued support and constructive engagement concerning the Cambodia–Thailand border issue.

On the morning of 24 July 2026, marking the first anniversary of the Thai military’s armed aggression against Cambodian territory, #Bloomberg TV produced a special programme on Cambodia, broadcast from the headquarters of the Council for the Development of #Cambodia (CDC).

The programme featured four key interviews with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia; His Excellency Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister; Her Excellency Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce; and His Excellency Keo Rottanak, Minister of Mines and Energy.

The discussions will focus on the border dispute, the #Thai military’s unlawful occupation of Cambodian territory following the ceasefire, Cambodia’s international relations, energy, investment, trade, and several other important issues.
