Today, I will read my poems and discuss feminist solidarity at #OngeaMamaSeries hosted by @awdf01 and @blkwomenradical. Although I self-define as a radical queer African feminist, the most vocal critics of my poems, politics and praxis are pillars of Uganda’s women’s movement.
I am honoured to read my poems at the #OngeaMamaSeries launch hosted today by @blkwomenradical and @awdf01. The program line-up of humans sharing our academic, artist, activist, and administrative work is amazing! When African women sit together to talk, magic happens!
@drstellanyanzi reading from her fierce "Women shall no longer wait" and "Feminists in high heels" is a perfect way of opening this webinar. And listening to her new poem "Speak Mummy, Speak" written especially for the #OngeaMamaSeries gives me LIFE!

#OngeaMamaSeries
Thank you so much, @awdf01 and @blkwomenradicals! Looking forward to continuing this conversation at the #OngeaMamaSeries launch. Inviting everyone to stay tuned for details about the launch! Asante sana!
@NabwireDinnah R5.
