@kitchentowel@blazichickem @BrentPoland1 @TheGreenParty Stock. Generally about 40 to 50 people on board! FlixBus is cheaper, comfier, and takes about 10 minutes longer..
@kitchentowel@blazichickem @BrentPoland1 @TheGreenParty As I said, hard to write policy on the forum! I'm not ditching rail, it would not be at the centre of my transport plans. By switching some of the local trains to coaches it could free up the intercity lines. Eg: Nottingham to Lincoln train is two carriages with outdated rolling
@kitchentowel @BrentPoland1 @TheGreenParty Not effectively in this forum, but! Why fixate on rail for a start? Too expensive for most people, inefficient, and particularly quick between locations! Expand National coach network, buses are greener now, cheaper than train or car, often as quick as train...
@kitchentowel @BrentPoland1 @TheGreenParty To maximise even that section requires a complete overhaul of our (UK) transport solutions, and without that, the cost of completing, no matter how "small" is a waste of valuable resources! Especially carbon budget..
Iβve an idea. Everyone who objects to having a royal family should be given the opportunity to opt out of contributing to them and the other side can cough up more to cover the shortfall. Letβs see how keen they are then, if they love them so much they can fund them !
@kitchentowel @BrentPoland1 @TheGreenParty Why would I back finishing something that I believe is totally wrong! A complete environmental disaster and a waste of money..
@lgfp@ClimateBen Better modelling predictions based on a far greater data set than we had previously. Complete scientific consensus from peer reviewed papers..
To all those people frothing at the mouth about Angela Rayner dancing, whilst she is on her holidays and parliament is in recess, remember the Tories did that in Downing Street when the country was in lockdown.
The Daily Mail readership has dropped 32%, people are saying they will be bankrupt before 2030 because no-one wants to advertise in them.
I'm sure that if we RT we can bring their downfall sooner, and GB News too.
UPDATE: Almost a year ago I initiated a legal case over Sunak rowing back key Net Zero policies .
We've had a change of govtβ yet there is still no indication that this new admin will reinstate these initiatives .
We must hold @UKLabour feet to the fire of climate breakdown .
