I was wondering why the stock and bond markets were taking the CPI data in stride, until I saw that ex-new cars, food and airlines, the other 82% of the index actually saw prices virtually flatten on the month. Fade the "broadening out" story.

First the inflation print surprises to the upside tariff pass through making a solid contribution) and then US announces to delay further tariffs until mid December!!!!!). Cracks are appearing!
The liquidity party is on, but guess who is not attending?? Banks and financials! Only sectors in red both in Europe and US.. not a good omen! But maybe we don't need the banks anymore, now that we have plenty of shadow banking and CLOs?
@SamSicilia You probably need to read before you reply. I was not "ridiculing" CBs. As investors/traders we need to play the hand we are given! Draghi can go to -10% .. who knows we might get some inflation then!
