This evening, students had the chance to end the trip with a visit to the Berlin TV Tower, taking in stunning views over the city. A fantastic way to wrap up an incredible few days together! #BerlinTrip @nailseaschool

On our final stop of the afternoon, we took a walking tour of the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate, two of Berlin’s most iconic landmarks. A great opportunity for students to explore the city’s rich political and historical heritage. #BerlinTrip @nailseaschool

Next, we visited the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, a striking tribute to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. Its 2,711 concrete slabs create a maze-like space, evoking loss and reflection. We took time to pay our respects. #BerlinTrip @nailseaschool

This afternoon, we stopped at the Mall of Berlin, giving students some time to grab food and explore the shops. A well-earned break before the next part of our trip! #BerlinTrip @nailseaschool

First stop today: Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz. A sobering visit to the site where, in 1942, senior Nazi officials planned the so-called ‘Final Solution.’ An important and reflective moment for our students. #BerlinTrip @nailseaschool

Another fantastic afternoon on the A Level History & RS trip to Berlin! After lunch by the East Side Gallery, we explored the city on a walking tour, taking in sights like Alexanderplatz and the Berliner Dom. Students are having a brilliant time! @nailseaschool

First stop today was Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, one of the first concentration camps established in 1936 by the Nazis. It held over 200,000 prisoners, primarily political prisoners between 1836 and 1945. @nailseaschool

An eventful first day of travel to Berlin for our A Level History and Religious Studies students. We have arrived safely at our hostel and are looking forward to our first action packed day in Berlin tomorrow. @nailseaschool

Introduced A Level Religious Studies students @nailseaschool to Wittgenstein’s Language Games today through play! One group tackled Connect4 (familiar), while the other tried to play Catan (unfamiliar, without rules). Insightful way to explore meaning & context in language!

Final morning of #Battletieldlegends2024 where we visited Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, a significant WW1 cemetery of nearly 10,000 graves and sit of a major casualty clearing station.
