Did John Grisham write this latest chapter in the Karen Read saga? What did we just see in Judge Mark Gildea's Plymouth courtroom in the O'Keefe family's wrongful death lawsuit against Karen Read?
The judge delivered a bizarre dressing down to ALL attorneys, claiming improper release of impounded materials. "The malicious publication of private information concerns me," Judge Gildea said.

But the judge offered NO specifics and no proof that ANY lawyer on either side leaked impounded information.

For this emergency hearing, he compelled attendance by all attorneys, took attendance and then recited a prepared speech claiming an unnamed person committed unethical behavior by publishing impounded information on X at 2:52 p.m. on June 8. Documents were filed that day with the court minutes earlier at 2:22 p.m.

Judge then quickly left the bench without allowing any response.
Read's attorney Alan Jackson asked the clerk if judge would take response. "We would like the opportunity to be heard," Jackson could be heard saying.

On June 8, claims were swirling on X that ex-state trooper Michael Proctor was in a mental health facility in Fla., following official release of his bombshell racist, anti-semitic, and sexist private texts that led to his firing.

Judge's speech referenced "malicious publication of private" info "disturbs me."

Judge wants parties to ink an agreement vowing to adhere to discovery rules. He threatened contempt if they don't. And more threatening yet, he vowed "dismissal" and or "default" was possible. This would be check mate for any forces trying to protect Proctor over his botched investigation of O'Keefe's death.

Missing from the judge's flag-waving soliloquy ("I wish all of you a happy Fourth of July," 250th etc.etc. ) was any acknowledgement that the info about Proctor's alleged status could have leaked from other parties who have no discovery obligations. Estranged family?
