THE NAIROBI EXPRESSWAY

A MASTERCLASS IN POLITICS & PROFIT.

According to the latest reports, over 100,000 vehicles use the Nairobi Expressway daily, with toll fees averaging between KSh 250–500.
Let’s assume a modest KSh 300 per vehicle.

Do the math:

• 100,000 vehicles × KSh 300 = KSh 30 million per day
• KSh 30M × 30 days = KSh 900 million per month

• KSh 900M × 12 = KSh 10.8 billion per year

• Over 27 years = KSh 291.6 billion in projected toll revenue.

Now here’s the kicker:
The Kenyattas, using our sovereignty, took a loan on their behalf, built a road and now forced us to repay it via tolls… for 27 years for them to eat it alone. Wow!

And that’s just this one road. We haven’t even talked about the SGR, Northlands City, and other megaprojects.
