As absurd as decanting champagne and sparklings sounds, some people do it. #wineinkenya

[NairobiWineFestival @NairobiWineFest]

We are loving the discussion on decanting #wines! Thanks @Jeanwandimi @PenelopeKirui :) #wineinkenya

[Marketing and Comms @Jeanwandimi]

Anyone who has used an aerator before? I didnt taste/notice a major difference. #wineinkenya https://t.co/7xkLaC0vtF

[NairobiWineFestival @NairobiWineFest]

@Jeanwandimi Yes. Can help with temperature if too cold and also trying to open up the wine, aromas etc...

[NairobiWineFestival @NairobiWineFest]

Another method is to use an aerator – Pour directly from the bottle, through the aerator into the wine glass. #wineinkenya

[Penelope Kirui @PenelopeKirui]

Decanting depends on the age of wine. Younger wine decant for a few hours (3-5hrs) older wine decant for shorter time (5min) #wineinkenya

[NairobiWineFestival @NairobiWineFest]

When is the best time to decant #wine? Does it depend on the age of #wine? #wineinkenya

[Marketing and Comms @Jeanwandimi]

We are talking about decanting wine. #wineinkenya #restaurants

[OLIVIA DOPE @wendywangui]

Does decanting wine have a better aeration purpose than swirling in your glass ? #wineinkenya

[NairobiWineFestival @NairobiWineFest]

Aside from removing the sediment, decanting revitalizes and invigorates a #wine. #wineinkenya
