🚨🚨#BREAKING: French newspaper claims recently sentenced lifetime imprisonment @MahrangBaloch_ nominated for the Nobel peace prize for the consecutive 2nd year. https://t.co/PbbZE3YGYd
Dear Uncle,
Why is every major development project in Pakistan obsessively focused on Punjab? The new M-13 Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway and billions poured into Punjab’s infrastructure, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan continue to struggle with basic connectivity, crumbling roads, and economic neglect.
In any functional country, resources are collected from the more developed regions and deliberately invested in the peripheries so that backward areas can catch up and the entire nation grows together. In Pakistan, it is the exact opposite: Punjab, which is already relatively better off, is being further pampered and modernized at the direct expense of the smaller, struggling provinces.
You can never achieve lasting security and peace through force or rhetoric alone. Without economic justice and balanced development, the sense of deprivation will only deepen.
A Scottish fan chanted, "Free Palestine."
"I was a nurse in Gaza. I volunteered in Gaza. I’ve seen what happens. There is a genocide. Free Palestine."
She's a hero.
Day 3 at Jantar Mantar starts with CJP Founder @abhijeet_dipke thanking volunteer Mohd Junaid who has been helping distribute juice and snack packets for students who have been sleeping overnight at the protest site.
PAKISTAN: Today marks 150 days of unlawful imprisonment of human rights lawyers Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha, simply for their social media posts.
Five months on, despite repeated attempts by their legal counsel, their appeal has not been heard yet. The delay in the appeal hearing is in stark contrast to the haste during their trial, which had several procedural irregularities as they were denied substantial time to cross-examine key witnesses against them.
📢 Call for their immediate and unconditional release.

I strongly condemn the attack on CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke. Even if u don’t agree wid Dipke, it does not give u license to attack him. We all know which party do the attackers belong to and thats why, no action will be taken against them.
India has got a wonderful Prime Minister, caring, loving and supportive There is no one like Modi-
The heat has increased a lot, so everyone should drink plenty of water.
India’s great Prime Minister Modi held a high-level meeting yesterday. In the meeting, he called all the MPs and ministers. The entire country was expecting that, with the rising prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG, increasing inflation, and the difficult situation faced by poor people, small business owners, street vendors, and rickshaw pullers, the government would announce some relief measures or make an important decision.
But the interesting part is that Prime Minister Modi told his MPs and ministers:
“The heat has increased a lot, so all of you should drink more water.”
And then the meeting ended.
Tell me, can there be a more caring Prime Minister anywhere? In a high-level meeting, he is advising his MPs and ministers to drink plenty of water.
Now wait and watch. Today they are asking people to drink more water. India was already mixing 20% ethanol in petrol, and now the government plans to increase it to 30%. Slowly, after some time, they may even say, “Please drink less water too, we need it to produce ethanol.”
Now it is becoming clear why the great Prime Minister does not hold press conferences. He probably knows that he may not be able to answer even five serious questions.
If questions are asked about development, education, national security, healthcare, and corruption, then he himself might need to drink plenty of water.
Modi deserves to be humiliated everywhere he goes.
He has not given a single press conference in 12 years since he became the Prime Minister. He fails to fulfill the basic transparency and accountability requirements of being a leader.
I would like to encourage foreign journalists from other European countries to ask him questions wherever they see him, just like @HelleLyngSvends did. Embarrass him so much that he is forced to show some accountability in front of people. You will be doing great service for India’s progress.
A Norwegian reporter asked Narendra Modi why he wouldn’t speak to the media after a press conference in Oslo on Monday.
India’s PM has faced consistent criticism for his refusal to hold open media briefings.
