Cette décision du Comité exécutif de la Fédération Internationale de Football salue et reconnaît la place de choix du Maroc dans le concert des grandes nations.

Sa Majesté le Roi adresse, à cette occasion, Ses félicitations au Royaume d’Espagne et à la République du Portugal, tout en réitérant l’engagement du Royaume du Maroc à travailler en parfaite synergie avec les instances en charge du dossier dans chacun des pays hôtes".
