Since 1 cent coins were discontinued why do some retailers’ item pricing still have 0,99c? They don’t have 1 cent change. That 1 cent profit is handsome I think 🤔
Do pardon my ignorance, but as a water-scarce nation and we have been for well over a decade now; one would have thought there would be sustained awareness campaigns across all media platforms, institutions of learning, and civic organisations about this scourge.
One would have expected corporates too to drive the message consistently through their own channels and programmes.
And lastly, one would have assumed that we as citizens would play our part. But we are not.
We are still wasting water with remarkable ease. Some even boast about washing their cars weekly. Others proudly speak of taking long showers as though water is an unlimited luxury. In many homes and neighbourhoods, water leaks are left unattended with water running freely as if it carries no cost.
What would it take for us to behave like responsible adults on matters that demand seriousness and collective commitment?
What will it take for us to change our habits?
@Lesufi@nkosindiphile_x Dear Premier and Mayor, living in Bredell, is seriously unbearable now, we haven’t had a consistent electricity supply for an extended period. It is now bothering on violating our human rights at this rate.
