I’ve spent more than 20 years in Malleswara and did all my schooling and college here. It’s got an absolute great vibe that I haven't experienced in any other part of the city! However, what I dislike most about Malleswara is the roadside vendors. They occupy almost 80% of the footpath space. There's no space for pedestrians to walk.

What I've observed is that while physical shops have almost no customers, street vendors are raking in all the moolah. Do they pay taxes? Nope! It’s time for the GBA to relocate them to a dedicated complex so we can reclaim pedestrian space. This isn't about spoiling their livelihood, but about being organized and making our city roads better.

Thank you. This is inner ring road, coming from Indiranagar to Koramangala on a weekday. Street hawkers have taken up the side lane + the pavement on both sides of ring road. This not only obstructs the pavement, but also causes so much traffic. As if the road works and flyover construction isn't causing enough chaos, we have guys selling t shirts and omelettes on the ring road? What is stopping them from setting up a stall outside safina plaza or outside empire to sell their stuff? And why is @BlrCityPolice @blrcitytraffic allowing this?

I really hope I don’t have to do this frequently. But, if officers and contractors do not listen and do their job, unfortunately, I will be forced. I appeal to them to do their job properly.
Today, I happened to observe an asphalt work in progress. I was doubtful of the quality. I asked the Commissioner to inspect this asphalt work. Indeed, the work was found to be substandard. Sadly, officer is suspended and contractor penalised.

₹ 2000 CR approved for internal road asphalting in #Bengaluru.

The Government has taken a fast and major decision to invest ₹ 2000 Cr to improve the local/ward level internal roads of Bengaluru. Entire major roads are taken up under different programs, Government felt the urgent need to improve local roads. In response to demands from MLA and public, the government has made a swift decision to make this major investment to improve road infrastructure.

Government has also given permission to call short term tenders to expedite the implementation. The funds are allocated to all constituencies irrespective of the Party of MLAs.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಹಾಗ��� ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಒಳರಸ್ತೆಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ₹2,000 ಕೋಟಿ ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಹಾಗೂ ತ್ವರಿತ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.

ನಗರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಡಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವ ಒಳರಸ್ತೆಗಳ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಯ ತುರ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮನಗಂಡಿದೆ.

ಶಾಸಕರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಂದ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿ ಈ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಪಾವಧಿಯ ಟೆಂಡರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲು ಸಹ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಯಾವುದೇ ಪಕ್ಷಭೇದವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುದಾನ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಗರದ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ.

2. Convert empty plots to BBMP aprvd parking areas.
