19 years of hosting means a lot of change, learning, feedback, and lessons.

@Namecheap Hosting turns 19 this year.

For nine of those years, I’ve had the privilege of being responsible for Hosting and helping shape where it goes next. That makes this milestone feel personal to me. It represents almost a decade of my own journey, too.

As Product Manager, I spend most of my time focused on where the product is today and where we take it next, so this felt like a good reason to pause and look back.

When Namecheap Hosting launched in 2007, the web looked very different. Even getting a relatively simple website online often required much more technical knowledge.

Since then, building online has become accessible to many more people, while what they create has grown far more varied: from blogs and portfolios to online stores, communities, applications, and much more.

Hosting has had to evolve alongside them. For us, that has meant developing new products and tools, expanding our infrastructure, and adapting how we support customers as their needs change.

Over the past nine years, I’ve had the opportunity to see so much of this evolution firsthand: customer feedback shaping our priorities, ideas becoming products, releases going live, challenges being solved, and countless everyday decisions helping Hosting move forward.

It’s easy to think of hosting primarily as infrastructure. But when you work closely with the product, you see the people behind it. Today, 475 colleagues across different countries contribute to building, operating, and supporting Namecheap Hosting.

Together, over these 19 years, we’ve helped bring nearly 19 million online projects to life.
A lot has changed, but what matters most to us remains the same: our customers, the people who choose Namecheap Hosting to build and grow online.

We’re grateful to everyone who has built with us over the years. Nineteen years is quite a journey. A lot has been accomplished, and I’m proud to have been part of almost half of it.

Now, we’re looking forward to what comes next.
